Troy Edward Small Montana, the beloved son of the late Mr. Troy Small and Mrs. Harriett Small, was born on December 17th, 1951 in Paducah, Kentucky. He was the pride and joy of his parents. After his formative education he embarked on a career in construction. He loved living in the state of Montana so much that he changed his surname from 'Small' to 'Montana'. He was a brilliant entrepreneur who operated successful businesses. He was proud of the lucrative roofing business he owned. He was an avid reader and writer. He is author of the God speak™ compilation of 20 Bible Study Guides.
Troy was a devout Christian who enjoyed sharing his faith with everyone around him. Even in his last months of life, he helped others as the Chaplain of Ava Place Assisted Care Home. He made a lot of special friends along the journey of life and he will be truly missed.
Troy fell asleep resting in the arms of Jesus at approximately 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning, November 3, 2013 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Numerous relatives and friends will feel his loss.
As we reflect on Troy’s life let us all strive to make our calling and election sure as we yield our lives to Christ and accept His saving, amazing grace.
